The Magical Mystery Tour

“Come take the Magical Mystery Tour”

She offered, enthusiasm on show,

“What a great idea,” I replied in my head

“But what more of this can I know?”

Her sage like eyes did smile

“To tell you more would be unfair”

“For it’s a mystery, and magical,

and I cannot wait to take you there”

As a lad I had been to Genoa

But never once set foot in Mulgoa

To be offered this chance

Through Blue Mountains to prance

Created excitement I could hardly bare

Come take the Magical Mystery Tour

Those words inspired me no end.

Understand the idea, I felt I must

And in this woman put all my trust

Her long flowing hair stuck in my mind

As time with her I wanted to share

For she is surely a mystery and magical,

And I want her to take me there

Running ‘round in my head

Were thoughts of joy and dread

About what the tour would provide

But then my optimistic side

Said let’s have fun without fear or care

“Come take the Magical Mystery Tour”

She offered, enthusiasm on show,

“What a great idea,” I replied in my head

“But what more of this can I know?”

Other than to say that it sounds a delight

As I picture her long flowing hair

Never messy, always a picture

and I cannot wait to take you there.
