Tropical Rain

The air is so thick with the damn humidity

Ceiling fans beat at it with no impression

They move it around from place to place

But wherever it goes the feelings the same

Oppressing us constantly leaving us limp

So with humour and wit we fight the day

Knowing the summer rains will soon come

To wash away the stickiness of the tropics

And flood our lives with the nectar of life.
